Sustainability and architecture are inextricably linked. The redesign of Designskolen Kolding by Cubo Arkitekter is based on sustainability, buildability and functionality. 

The architects worked according to the principle that the existing building should recycle itself: “If building elements can be reused, they should be used.” 

In this way, the authenticity of the redesigned building was emphasized - robust and “honest” through the distinctive main structure, which reflects the original dynamic industrial architecture as much as possible. 

The architecture of the new Designskolen Kolding reflects the school‘s vision of openness and transparency. 

It is future-oriented and characterized by a clear identity that is constantly changing with the development of society.
