The task
Environmental technology is a key technology in the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. The 3rd construction phase emphasises this focus impressively. The project is one of the largest examples of sustainable construction in Hong Kong. The buildings in Phase 3 have been designed to be CO2 neutral over their lifetime. This has been achieved by focussing on CO2 reduction, energy efficiency and energy generation. Focusing on cost-effective savings, each building combines the latest environmental technology with sustainable building design.

Our solution
In addition to ECO lever handles, the 3rd construction phase also uses Newton door closers and SR systems. The ECO products placed already received the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) from Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V. in 2013. The environmental declaration quantifies environmental information from the life cycle of a product. In addition to lever handles and door closers, other ECO products have also been certified. Sustainability is an important aspect for ECO Schulte. We are therefore proud that our products are installed in one of the largest sustainability projects in Hong Kong.
